Make sure you are serious about buying one of our babies BEFORE you decide to send us a deposit!! We will update our website whenever we have eggs and/or new babies, so keep checking back for updates. We will not accept deposits for babies less than 2 weeks of age. We do have a waiting list for some species, if you would like to be placed on a waiting list, email us with your name, email address, and phone number, and we will place you on our list for whichever species you are interested in. You will be contacted when we have babies that are at least 2 weeks of age.
After your baby goes home, you have 48 hours to get a full vet workup done by an avian vet. In the case of an unsatisfactory checkup, we will either pay the vet bill or, you may return the baby and we will refund your money. Shipping fees are always the buyer’s responsibility, we do not refund shipping and carrier costs. If the checkup is performed after the 48 hour period, we will not be financially responsible. In the rare event we sell an unweaned baby, this does not apply!
We take the placement of our babies very seriously. The health, safety, and happiness of our birds’ are our top priority. We work with potential customers to educate and ensure they can meet the needs of their new companion. During this time we will ask many questions. Some of these questions may not appear to be relevant, but be assured they are important to the well being of you new bird. Once your baby goes home, we will always be available to answer your questions and assist you with bird related issues. And of course dont forget that we love to hear updates and see pictures of your baby after he goes home!!
Your baby parrot is expected to live 20 to 80+ years, parrots are lifetime commitments! Never, ever choose a parrot based solely on its looks or so-called speaking ability, choose your next companion based on its personality!! Every species has different temperaments and personalities, as does each individual bird. Please remember this while choosing a bird, and most importantly, please do your research and read up about the different species of parrots that you are interested in. Please make a point to speak with other parrot owners and listen to their stories about living with their parrots. Always remember that no matter how much you or someone else thinks they know about birds, there is always more to learn, and it is up to you to keep up with the new information that is made available to the community. You will most likely find that your very own companion parrot is your best teacher. Our very own breeders, pets, and baby birds constantly keep us on our toes, and we really do learn something new every day!
We only ship to the United States, Hawaii, and Alaska. Shipping is done via Delta or Continental Air Cargo. These airlines have certain restrictions that do not permit shipping if the forecasted temperature is not within their limits. We will ship your bird when they are fully weaned and mature enough to handle the stress of shipping. Costs do fluctuate and vary upon carrier, expect to pay between $95 and $150. These costs are beyond our control and do not include the price of the carrier crate, multiple birds / crates are not much more in most cases. Crate cost will be handled on a per order basis, we can loan you one (carrier deposit required), or you can mail us one of your own, and we will ship your bird to you in your own carrier. If you choose the latter option, you will not be charged a carrier cost.
